Ladybank Woods is largely a conifer woodland, which is home to wildlife such as bats and red squirrels. It has a series of trails which can be used for walking and cycling.

Blairadam Woods is a mix of spruces and beech trees with trails including the Glen and Keltyhill Glen. The east side of the forest was part of a designed landscape around Blairadam House, which was built by Scottish architect Sir William Adam.
