Crathes Castle Garden

The temperature is dropping quickly and warm winter coats are a must, but there’s still plenty of reasons to pay a visit to Crathes Castle Garden in Aberdeenshire.

Chris Wardle, Head Gardener at Crathes Castle, takes us on a video tour of the stunning gardens and gives a brief overview on the projects he and his team have been working on in preparation for winter and spring next year.

Throughout the video you’ll notice the remarkable changes in colour taking place in a wide array of plants. It’s certainly makes for a great educational video if you’re not too well versed on gardening like myself!

The National Trust for Scotland update their YouTube channel on a regular basis and have a number of videos featuring their properties worth checking out. Autumn is an ideal time to come and see Scotland’s gardens – as Chris mentioned in his video, the autumnal changes are taking place quickly, so make sure you do have a look before the winter weather hits.
