Hogmanay firework display Edinburgh
Fireworks, torchlight processions and one of the world’s largest street parties – it must be time to start the countdown for Hogmanay again! With the anticipation building over the past few months, the full details for Edinburgh’s 20th Hogmanay program were announced yesterday morning.

Edinburgh has become a world famous destination for it’s festivals and its annual New Years street party where nearly 100,000 people converge every year to celebrate in the city centre is one of the annual highlights on the Edinburgh calendar. With the stunning backdrop of an illuminated Edinburgh Castle, a spectacular fireworks display and world class music to keep you entertained, Hogmanay is an event that is one of a kind.

Last year the street party was headlined by indie legends Primal Scream and yesterday it was announced that 80s rockers Simple Minds will be the headline act, with The View, The Macabees and more (see full details here) also announced as entertainment to help revelers party their way into 2013.
