Not too long ago, the crew over at Food Republic published a (mostly) tongue in cheek article entitled ’11 Things to Know About Scottish Cuisine’. To form their list, they interviewed head chef Michael Smith from the acclaimed restaurant Three Chimneys. My three favourites from the list:
1. Scottish cuisine obviously makes you stronger; haven’t you seen Highlander?
3. Whisky pairs well with everything. From breakfast (in your porridge) to dinner (flambéd salmon).
6. Haggis hunting is not really a sport in Scotland, it is a way of life.
