Loch Lomond, The Trossachs & The Forth Valley are easy to reach, whether you are driving, flying or travelling by train, and when you arrive, you will be greeted by some of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks and awesome scenery.
By road
Stirling is reachable from Edinburgh and Glasgow in under an hour, while Loch Lomond is little more than 35 minutes from Glasgow. Falkirk is only 30 minutes both from Edinburgh Airport and from Glasgow via the M80/A80.
Scotland's National Tourist Routes are a great way to appreciate the scenery and offer travelling visitors an alternative to the main trunk roads and motorways. The Highland Tourist Route takes you from Aberdeen to Inverness, through the lush valley of Upper Donside right up to the northern fringes of the Cairngorm National Park before leading you through Speyside, which is known as whisky country due to its famous distilleries which are well worth a visit. Keep following the east coast on the Moray Firth Route to enjoy stunning natural landscapes and quaint fishing villages, keeping a look out for seals on the way.

By bus
National coach services run to the city of Stirling, Falkirk and many of the other larger towns in the area, from which you can link to local services.
By rail
You can reach the area easily from Scotland’s major towns and cities and there are direct rail services from London that travel via Falkirk and Stirling. There are also frequent commuter services from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa. You will find connecting services to other parts of Loch Lomond, The Trossachs & The Forth Valley from the main stations.
By air
There are national and international flights to Glasgow Airport, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Edinburgh Airport and Inverness Airport, where you can connect to the region by rail or road.
