    An Sealladh is a superb newly-equipped cottage, which has just been completely renovated, accomodating up to 8 plus a cot. Very warm and comfortable with oil fired central heating, double glazing throughout and open fire in the sitting room.

    An Sealladh, which means "The View" in Gaelic, is a traditional stone cottage set on the hillside overlooking the village of Lochinver. It is a peaceful location, with beautiful views to the mountains. The cottage is warm and cosy, and has recently been completely renovated, fully insulated, and well equipped. It has double glazing and oil fired central heating. It has grounds which are completely enclosed by a stone wall, with on-site parking and a garage.

     

    The cottage has just been newly decorated and furnished to a high standard. On the ground floor there is a comfortably furnished sitting room with an open fire, which is especially nice during the colder months. To give you a complete break and peaceful rest the cottage does not have a TV. The newly refitted combined kitchen and dining room is fully fitted with appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine, coffee maker and mixer,  and is well equipped with crockery, glassware and other smaller appliances.

     

    There are three double bedrooms, one on the ground floor, with a superb king size bed, which is especially suitable for guests who prefer not to use stairs. The main bathroom is on the ground floor and is well equipped with a bath and shower. The two upstairs bedrooms can accommodate up to six people.  A cot and high chair are also available. The shower room on the first floor is complete with a WC and pedestal washstand. Linen is provided to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. All rooms have the most beautiful views to the mountains, especially Suilven and Cul Mor.



    The village has excellent amenities including a butcher, post office, bank, petrol station, mini-supermarkets, restaurants, and churches are within walking distance. The Assynt Visitor Centre is located in the centre of the village. The Leisure Centre is also located in the village with many sports on offer; and an Internet cafe. The area is beautiful and unspoilt, with many white sandy beaches close by. "An Sealladh" is an ideal location for walking, cycling, fishing, watersports or simply relaxing.

    Road Directions

    The village of Lochinver is accessed by car on the A835/A837 roads north of Ullapool with numerous signs posted to easily find your way. The cottage is on the road signposted "Baddidarroch", a right turn over a stone bridge, just before you enter the village. The cottage is set on the hillside on your right at the crest of the hill.

    Getting there by railway:- The closest rail station is Inverness. There are regular bus routes that will take you the rest of the distance to Lochinver via Ullapool. For bus timetables visit www.travelinescotland.com.
