    Towyn House is a warm, spacious, comfortably furnished self-catering home in the delightful village of Comrie. It has a large games room which is also useful for storing rods, boats etc. Well behaved pets are welcome. Flexible start dates.



    Towyn is kept as homely as possible, making it a relaxing retreat from everyday pressures. This is enhanced by Comrie's unhurried and friendly village atmosphere. In the house, there is a the large kitchen/diner which opens directly through large patio doors into the secluded wildlife friendly garden; the sitting room is large and comfortable with TV DVD and video recorder. Unlimited wireless broadband access is avilable throughout the house.
    There is also a radio, card table, assorted table games, table tennis, dart board and a selection of books and jigsaw puzzles. The house can sleep up to 7 people; cot available.

    There is a separate utilty room with extra fridge and freezer space.
    An indoor drying area for walkers & cyclists and a secure space where bicycles can be stored.

    Comrie village -
    From the front door you are quickly in the heart of this charming and friendly village with its small and friendly shops. From the back door walk into the beautiful beech woods and on up into the hills.

    The village has 3 churches, a bank, post office, garage, 2 grocers, butcher, green grocer, delicatessen, coffee shop and several other small shops of interest. Wildlife and landscape artist, Martin Ridley, welcomes visitors. A good restaurant, pub and two hotels provide options for a meal or drink. Comrie golf course is a few minutes away, as are the start of several pleasant circuitous local walks. Hogmanay celebration is special in the village with its unique 'Flambeaux' procession.

    The surrounding area -
    Many of Scotland's historic and cultural centres are within easy reach. A half hour to Stirling and Perth and Edinburgh and Glasgow are only an hour away.

    Easily accessible attractions include: Drummond Trout Farm, Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, Blair Drummond Safari Park, bird watching, fishing, championship golf courses, curling, water sports, cycling, castles, historic houses, gardens, museums, art galleries, antique shops, Stuart crystal glass, walking/climbing, local Munroes (over 3000ft), Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, beautiful lochs and glens, whisky distilleries.
