With over 60 specialist producers offering the freshest, homegrown produce from across the country. Edinburgh Farmer Market is widely acknowledged as the premier market in Scotland. A quarter of the market producers are meat oriented, including specialities such as wild boar, venison, ostrich, wild game and water buffalo. Organic beef, chicken, lamb and pork are also offered. Other types of produce include fish (lobster in season) free-range eggs, cheese, oatmeal, seasonal fruit & vegetables, honey, chillies and plants. In addition you'll find producers who bake and prepare their own farm products. Guest producers provide specialities including organic beer, liqueurs, bread, chocolates and chutneys. Everything on sale is baked, brewed, pickled, raised or grown by the stallholders themselves, providing an unrivalled level of service and quality to market goers.
