    The restaurant overlooking the hotel gardens has a relaxed atmosphere befitting the style and splendour of the building, the exterior of which remains largely unchanged since its construction in 1800.

    Elegant stonework and a massive original fireplace compliment the rich warm fabrics and combine with fresh table flowers to create the desired ambience. Our typical customers are tourists, golfers and business people. Our eating style is traditional and formal, as is our decor. More informal meals are served in the small hotel bar. Dishes change daily with game, seafood and local produce featuring on the menu.

    Leek & Potato Soup: "The soup was served in an attractive mug set on a saucer. It looked very appetising and some olive oil was swirled through." "A simple but flavoursome start to the meal."

    Wild Mushroom Tart: "The wild musrooms tasted very fresh and the pastry was light and flaky."
