    EatScotland says:

The Green Inn is an unobtrusive , vernacular stone building fronting on to the attractive "village green" in the centre of Ballater. What lies behind the modest frontage is an unexpectedly spacious temple to good food. Only the best and freshest produce is used, wherever possible sourced locally, to produce mouth-watering dishes with great care and skill.

Pressed terrine of foie gras, pigeon and venison tenderloin, betroot puree, celeriac remoulade: "Superb. The pigeon and venison tenderloin were tender and tasty. The foie gras was soft and velvet-smooth." "A carefully crafted and beautifully presented dish highlighting the talents of the kitchen staff."
