    Montrose Museum and Art Gallery is located in a neo-classical building and charts the life of the town and art of the people of Montrose and Angus.

    Learn about the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, Pictish civilization, and the east coast whaling industry. Objects also tell the story on the broader history of Scotland, including the role of Montrose in the Jacobite uprising.

    The art gallery has a changing selection of local paintings and exhibitions, and hosts afternoon talks, evening events and children’s activities.

    Getting there by railway:- From Montrose Station walk upto the High Street, cross at the pedestrian crossing opposite the parish church. Turn down the Churchyard Walk which runs through the cemetery. At the bottom of the walkcross Baltic Street and walk down Museum Street. The museum stands on the corner.
