Towns & Villages

Kinglassie is a small ex-weaving and mining village west of Glenrothes.

This charming village in central Fife is close to Dogton Stone, a ninth century free standing cross, and Blythe’s Tower, a listed building which is 52 ft high.

The Kinglassie Miners Welfare Institute has been open for several decades and today is known as ‘The Tute’. The bar regularly hosts live music, quiz and bingo evenings and boasts a large screen TV, pool table, beer garden, bowling green and mining museum. Parking and a play park are available adjacent from the bar.
