Strathaven is a historic market town in the heart of the Avon Valley.

Strathaven (pronounced ‘stray-ven’) displays its medieval origins in its Common Green, around which the town is laid out. The ruins of 15th century Strathaven Castle stand on a rocky crag and at the John Hastie Museum you can learn about the rich history of the area. You can also follow the Covenanters’ Trail.
