From excellent rural farm shops and farmers’ markets, to mouth-watering dishes served up at the region’s restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes, come and experience the local produce of Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling & Forth Valley.

Whether you’re after fresh and unique seafood from the smokehouse in the Oaktree Inn at Balmaha, to mouth-watering dairy delights in Fintry or locally sourced produce at Monachyle Mhor, there is plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The region is also renowned for an excellent selection of local game, beef and lamb producers not to forget a little something for a sweet tooth, including fudge and tablet.

Fresh local ingredients can also be bought direct from the source at farm shops or farmers' markets. From Stirling and Falkirk to Loch Lomond Shores and beyond, producers at these monthly markets and specialist shops offer an excellent range of produce from across the area.

If you want to enjoy great foodie family events, check out two of the region's most popular ones each September. Scotfest and the Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival include everything from cookery demonstrations and sampling to stalls bursting with fruit and vegetables, meats, sweets, dairy products and much more. They're a great day out for all the family.

Further afield, those following the West Highland Way should stop off at eateries including the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum or the Inn at Inverbeg, near Luss where travellers have been served with excellent local produce and home baking for generations.
