Celebrate Robert Burns at the Burns an’ a’ that! Festival in his home region of Ayrshire with a range of exciting events from traditional music and Scottish art to contemporary concerts from famous musicians.

This year's festival will be held over four days in May and is part of the Year of Homecoming Scotland 2014 celebrations. The events will pay tribute to Scotland’s National Bard with an eclectic range of events held at a clutch of venues around Ayrshire.

Burns an' a' that! launches with Festival Friday in Ayr town centre on Friday 23 followed by Weekend in the Park on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 at Belleisle Park in Ayr. The celebrations continue on Monday 26 with events at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway.

Weekend in the Park is a recent addition to the festival, now in its 13th year, and has a packed programme which includes a free live music stage, ticketed comedy gigs and musical performances, and talks and workshops. Wander through the park and discover outdoor sound sculptures and markets selling local produce and arts and crafts. This family-friendly event will also have a teddy bears’ picnic, crazy golf and fairground rides.

During the festival you can also enjoy literary and poetry events, as well as some great food and drink and fascinating exhibitions showcasing Scotland’s talented artists.
