Often hand-crafted with natural wooden poles and pegs and cotton canvas covers, the tipi provides environmentally-friendly accommodation with a low environmental impact and an authentic back-to-nature break. Many tipis across Scotland are based on Native American designs and are the perfect places to stay for those who are keen to experience a sense of adventure.

Spacious and bright, you’ll find every comfort to make your stay really enjoyable; from colourful Afghan rugs and cosy sheepskins to the essentials, such as cooking utensils, plates and cutlery which are usually provided. Tipis are designed to be lived in so some models have a vent at the top meaning that campfires can be lit within the tipi itself. For a touch of luxury, some sites offer special hampers, breakfasts and BBQ packs stocked with local produce.
