Niamh definitely enjoyed ditching the car in favour of the bike:

Stirling is easily accessed by car, linked to the M9/A9 and M80.

Loch Lomond Summerfest on Loch Lomond Shores, 4 – 5 July 2026 – A vibrant summer weekend of live music, street food, family entertainment and lakeside fun at Loch Lomond Shores – the perfect way to kick off summer by the water. 

Back Doune the Rabbit Hole at Cardross Estate, 17 – 19 July 2026 – A boutique music and arts festival set in the scenic Stirlingshire, featuring live bands, DJs, comedy, kids’ activities, craft beer, food stalls, and a relaxed camping atmosphere.  

Go Swim Loch Lomond in Balloch, 29 August 2026 – Are you looking for a rewarding and exhilarating challenge this summer? Held on the iconic waters of Loch Lomond, this open-water swimming event offers breathtaking scenic routes framed by mountains and woodland. 

Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival in Balloch, 5 – 6 September 2026 – Expect street food, artisan stalls, whisky and gin tastings alongside chef demonstrations, live entertainment and family-friendly activities – this will be a tasty weekend in the stunning backdrop of Ben Lomond.

BBC Radio 2 in the Park, 11 – 13 September 2026 – A major three-day live music festival featuring headline acts from Radio 2’s biggest artists, plus family entertainment, food stalls, and a lively open-air atmosphere. Previous year’s highlights included Bryan Adams, Sting and the Pet Shop Boys amongst others.
