    Gardiesfauld Hostel is the most northerly hostel in the U.K. Situated in Uyeasound on the island of Unst, we provide superior accommodation and facilities which prove ideal for families, independent travellers or tourist groups.

    At Gardiesfauld we have rooms with shared bunks, family dormitories, caravan hookups and camping space.
    There are also great kitchen, showering and laundry facilities for all our visitors to use. We now have FREE Wi-Fi in the Hostel too!
    Come to Unst and use Gardiesfauld as a base to explore the island!

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From Lerwick turn left onto Esplanade. Follow the road out to Holmsgarth Ferry Terminal, then follow road to Voe. Turn right onto the A968 to Toft. Take the ferry to Ulsta in Yell. Take the A968 north to Gutcher then take the ferry from Gutcher to Belmont. Follow the A968 north and head into Uyeasound on the B9084. Follow the road to the pier.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Sumburgh Airport take the A970 north to Lerwick then on to Voe. Turn right onto the A968 to Toft. Take the ferry to Ulsta in Yell. Take the A968 north to Gutcher. Take the ferry from Gutcherto Belmont. Follow the A968 north and head into Uyeasound on the B9084. Follow the road to the pier.
