    Loch Awe House is a large house in an elevated position , overlooking remote and romantic Loch Awe . Total peace and quiet with loch and mountain views from every beautifully appointed room. Luxury breakfast.

    Set in 8 acres of woodland, with free fishing from the shore, the lodge is in wildly romantic countryside complete with castles, mountains, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Also, if you like fishing, the loch is full of record breaking trout and pike. There are walks in abundance. Guests will definitely require a car for which there is ample parking. There is also room to park and launch small boats.

    We are not licensed, so guests are invited to bring their own drinks. 

    Loch Awe House currently has a 4 star gold Visit Scotland grading.Enjoy the loch and mountain views from our large spacious en suite rooms, all with twin aspect windows and a high standard of furnishings. All beds are king sized and all bathrooms have both bath and shower. One room has a large private balcony.

    Breakfast is served beside the large windows of the large guest lounge/dining room , and where in the evenings the sun can be watched setting over the loch. A log fire is lit if the temperature is not up to Scotland's best. We have a Taste our Best award for food. We are not licensed, so guests are invited to bring their own drinks. 

    You will find your non smoking room immaculately clean and to this end the house does not cater for pets or children under 12yrs of age.

    The aim of the house is to offer a quiet, peaceful holiday in a very romantic and remote setting , with the simple things that make a holiday enjoyable, done well.

    How to get here

    Because we are 6 miles from the nearest bus route, a car is essential. We are about 25mins. from Dalmally and Inverarary.

    From the north take the A85 to the head of Loch Awe, then the A819 towards Inveraray. Look for a right turn to Cladich and take the B840 towards Eredine. After about 6 miles you will see Balliemeanoch farm on your left. We are 1 mile further, on the left. Please ring us if you get lost.

    From the south take the M8 to Erskine Bridge. A82 to Tarbet, A83 to Iverary, A819 to Cladich. Take the left turn to Cladich and take the B840 towards Eredine. After about 6 miles you will see Balliemeanoch farm on your left. We are 1 mile further, on the left. Please ring us if you get lost.
