    Our modern farmhouse has beautiful views to the North isles which means you can enjoy stunning sunrises, sunsets and unspoilt night skies.

    Mullhead Nature reserve is within walking distance and provides good opportunities for walkers, ramblers, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Here you can enjoy watching the seals basking in the sun or Puffins nesting on the cliff. The Brough of Deerness is also worth a visit for panoramic views and archaeological interest. Walking distance to the beach which is lovely for an evening stroll. A warm welcome and a comfortable relaxing stay a waits you in our Farmhouse. Home comforts, locally produced preserves and home baking using our own free range eggs. Tea and coffee facilities available in all the rooms, fresh milk can be provided. There is also a lounge area where you can sit in the evenings and enjoy the wonderful sunsets or browse through lots of information for things to do. There are restaurants facilities a small drive towards town. Packed lunch can also be provided if booked the evening before. Light evening snacks can be enjoyed after a long day walking.

    Non smoking establishment. Ample parking facilities. Children welcome, we have a small collection of animals...ducks ..hens..and horses for them to enjoy.

    We are passionate about providing a homely and comfortable visit to Orkney. We will be happy to assist with any additional requirements you may have.

    Awaiting grading for Green tourism award and members of the soil association we are passionate about environmental impact and reduce where we can. Throughout the build process great thought was put in for both economic and environmental sustainability. We feel passionate about change, and feel people are becoming more 'Greener' conscious when they chose there holiday destination.

    Getting there by railway:- Rail link to Aberdeen terminal for Northlink Ferry. Rail link to Inverness/Scabster ferry terminal for Northlink Ferry.
    Also bus link Inverness to Kirkwall.



    Getting there by aeroplane:- Kirkwall Airport flights from...Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.From Kirkwall Airport turn left, continue for further 7 miles, turn left at crossroads (Deerness stores) further 1.5 miles sign post to Covenanters memorial.Follow road round .5miles past Seater Farm...next left..Sign post Northfield. House over brim of the hill looking over the North Isles.



    Getting there by ferry:- There are two Ferry operators serve Orkney. Northlink sail from Aberdeen and Scrabster they have a very good timetable and can be booked online. Also Pentland Ferries sail from St Giles Bay and can also be found on the web.

    From Stromness Ferry terminal take A965 to Kirkwall then follow A960 Airport road, after Airport continue for further 7 miles, turn left at crossroads (Deerness stores) further 1.5 miles sign post to Covenanters memorial.Follow road round .5miles past Seater Farm...next left..Sign post Northfield. House over brim of the hill looking over the North Isles...40 min drive.

    From St Margarets Hope Ferry terminal follow signs over the churchill barriers turning right after 4th barrier following signs to east mainland and Deerness... about 20 min drive.
