Wellpark Hotel sits on the shores of the beautiful Kyles of Bute just outside the quiet village of Tighnabruaich on Scotland's west coast in Argyll. Sheer peace and tranquility just two hours from Glasgow. Originally built in 1861 with a new west wing added in 1902, Wellpark is filled with original features, stained glass, arts and crafts, real log fires set into beautiful fire places, ornate cornicing and even an original Edwardian bathroom.
This magnificent house has been owned and run by Colin and Anne Slinger as a high quality, luxury hotel since September 2010. Inspired by the true elegance and tradition of the sailing era of the late 19th and early twentieth centuries, rooms are named after J Class yachts, many of which could be seen racing on the Clyde.
Guests are pampered with every conceivable luxury including feather and down duvets, fluffy towels and robes, slippers and toiletries, a wide range of Twinings teas, filter and instant coffees, Scottish biscuits, fruit bowl and a welcome glass of sherry. Most rooms have king-size beds, breathtaking sea views and either en-suite or private facilities.
The Wardroom Restaurant offers an a la carte menu whilst more casual dining is available in the bar and lounge. Wherever guests choose to dine, the emphasis is on high quality fresh local ingredients all carefully prepared by Anne. The restaurant, Quarterdeck Bar and guest lounge, which are also open to non-residents, face the Kyles with stunning views to the Isles of Bute and Arran. Enjoy real ale from the Loch Fyne Brewery, single malts from our extensive range specially selected from many Scottish distilleries or fine wines from around the world whilst relaxing in the leather chesterfields in the bar or the comfy sofas of the guests lounge with log fires and grand piano.
Our beer garden has been described as the best on Scotland's west coast and in fine weather what could be better than enjoying a jug of Pimm's with a bowl of fresh langoustine as yachts go sailing by? Whatever the season and whatever the weather, guests are guaranteed a warm welcome at Wellpark. Colin and Anne hope to see you soon.
