From the smokehouse itself or from its shop in Creetown, near Newton Stewart, The Galloway Smokehouse offers a mouth-watering selection of hot and cold smoked salmon, trout and other fish, along with an extensive range of smoked meats, cheese and eggs.
All foods are cured with salt before smoking and dark syrup and black rum is also added to give a fuller flavour. After smoking, all products are vacuum packed to seal in the flavours and can be frozen.
In addition to the excellent range of fresh items, the shop also has a selection of locally produced jams and pickles, biscuits, ice cream, chocolate, wildlife ornaments and a selection of books on fish and game cookery.
If you have a special request such as smoking your own fish, the smokehouse will smoke and slice it to your requirements.
