Road Directions

Follow the A82 northeast of Fort William to Spean Bridge, then turn on to the A86 to Roy Bridge (13 miles from Fort William). At Roy Bridge, turn left onto a minor road for 4 miles.

Public Transport Directions

By Public Transport: The nearest bus stop is in Roy Bridge, 4 miles from the Reserve entrance. There is no roadside pavement along the minor road to the reserve. Coach parties should note that there is a narrow bridge with restricted turning, therefore large coaches are not advised. The nearest train station is Roy Bridge (4 miles from the Reserve) on the Fort William/Mallaig - Glasgow line.

 By Bike: Fort William (17 miles from the Reserve) is a terminal of NCN Route 78 (Fort William - Inverness). From Fort William, follow the A82 northeast of Fort William to Spean Bridge, then turn on to the A86 to Roy Bridge (13 miles). At Roy Bridge, turn left onto a minor road for 4 miles. Bike hire is available in Fort William and Spean Bridge.

On Foot: The nearest long distance routes are the West Highland Way (Fort William - Milngavie) and the Great Glen Way (Fort William - Inverness). Leave the West Highland Way at its Fort William terminal (13 miles). From the Great Glen Way, head to Spean Bridge from Fort William, Gairlochy or South Laggan
