    Glengoyne is open all year round for guided tours, whisky tastings, in-depth distillery visits and private dining. There is also a superb whisky shop, with a range of distillery exclusive whiskies.

    Often described as Scotland's most beautiful distillery, Glengoyne is open all year for guided distillery tours, whisky tastings, special events and a superb whisky shop. The distillery is easy to reach; just 40 minutes drive from Glasgow or 30 minutes from Stirling and Loch Lomond.

    Glengoyne is distilled more slowly than any other malt whisky. The spirit is nursed through the stills at one third the usual rate to create this complex, fruity, award-winning spirit.

    Glengoyne offers a range of diverse and exciting distillery tours. The Glengoyne tour, Wee Tasting tour, Tasting tour and Whisky and Chocolate Matching tour all start on the hour and there is no need to book for groups of less than 10 guests. Groups of 10 or more are asked to book in advance. For more in-depth tours (Master Blender Session, Cask Tasting tour and Masterclass) please contact the distillery to make an advanced booking.

    Private dining is also available at Glengoyne Distillery for groups of 12 - 36 guests, who can enjoy a meal in the private dining room, built with one complete wall of glass and access onto a covered balcony overlooking the waterfall and glen. Enjoy drinks and canapes whilst soaking up this tranquil setting, visit the distillery to see how the wonderful Single Malt Whisky is made before settling down to enjoy lunch or dinner from a wide range of the very best fresh produce Scotland has to offer.

    March - November 10am until 5pm (last distillery tour 4pm)
    December - February 10am until 4pm (last distillery tour 3pm)

    Closed from 24th December until Thursday 26th December inclusive. Open for tours on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th, Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st December. Closed on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd January 2014.

    Road Directions

    Just 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and 30 minutes from Stirling. From Glasgow, follow A81 north (direction Aberfoyle and the North). Glengoyne is situated in between the villages of Strathblane and Killearn. From Stirling, follow A811 and then follow A81 (direction Glasgow).

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- Glengoyne is situated 14 miles north of Glasgow on the A81 (main route to Aberfoyle). The No.10 bus runs from Buchanan Bus Station (destination Balfron). There is approx 1 bus every hour and the bus will stop at the gates of Glengoyne Distillery.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Glengoyne is situated approx 45 minutes from Glasgow Airport. From the airport travel along M8, following signs for Clyde Tunnel. Once through the Clyde Tunnel follow signs for Aberfoyle and the North (A81). Once on A81 travel through Bearsden, Milngavie and Strathblane. Glengoyne Distillery is situated 3 miles outside of Strathblane.
