East Fortune Airfield, East Fortune, East Lothian, EH39 5LF

Head off on a journey of discovery at this former airfield and explore the history of aviation from the First World War to the present day.

Head off on a journey of discovery at this former airfield and spend a day exploring the history of aviation from the First World War to the
    present day.

Get up close to Scotland’s Concorde where you can climb on board to discover what transatlantic flight was like for passengers and crew, and learn more about the legacy of this iconic aircraft.

Then discover more about the history of the site during the First and Second World Wars. In our Fortunes of War gallery you can find out how the site has evolved and grown over the years and hear the personal stories of the servicemen and women who served at the base.

There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained throughout the day too, from our assault course and expanses of green space to our family-friendly gallery, Fantastic Flight. Through hands-on interactives, the whole family can find out how aeroplanes fly, how they are built and the skills needed to fly them. Then you can have a go on one of our flight simulators and see if you can land a virtual airship at East Fortune.
