    The Ness of Brodgar is the excavation of a massive Neolithic walled enclosure that contains numerous well preserved monumental stone buildings on an unparalleled scale –best known from its media coverage as Orkney’s Neolithic Cathedral’.

    Excavations on Ness of Brodgar, in Stenness, will resume on Monday the 6th of July  2015, running until Friday the 28th August 23 2015

    During this time, the Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA) dig will be open to the public  from Wednesday the 8th July until Wednesday the 26th of August.

    The excavation at the Ness of Brodgar, Orkney, will resume on Monday 6th July 2014 for 8 weeks. The public is welcome to visit when the dig is open from Wednesday 8th July until Wednesday 26th August.
