Orkney Wireless Museum

    Orkney’s wartime history is strongly represented in a museum collection that spans the development of wireless in Orkney from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.

    The museum’s collection includes domestic radio receivers and portables, including loudspeakers and headphones, some home-built in Orkney. There is radio equipment from lighthouses, plus early telephones and a collection of early televisions.
