Welcome to Tobermory Marine Exhibition. We have a huge variety of exhibits and interactive displays. We offer a variety of events, including harbour tours, touch pool sessions, family activities and more.

    About us

The Marine Exhibition is part of the Tobermory Harbour Association, which is a not for profit community enterprise. All profits are re-invested into the harbour facilities to benefit both the local community and our visitors. The Exhibition provides an exciting, informative and interactive experience for both adults and children, demonstrating the life of Tobermory community's working harbour and local waters.

    What's here

We have a huge variety of exhibits and interactive displays demonstrating the activities and life in, on and around Tobermory Bay and the Sound of Mull. There is no fixed price for entry by we do rely on donations to continue to provide this great facility for all.

    Aquarium and touch pools

Our large saltwater aquarium is stocked with an array of sea creatures from Tobermory Bay. We do not keep the sea creatures we find, as after just 4 weeks, we return all the creatures back to the bay and then restock the aquarium with new and different animals. This is what we call 'borrowing from the sea'.

Have you ever wanted to hold a crab or touch a starfish?

Our touch pool displays are run Wednesday, Friday, Sunday 12 noon (May - September), giving children, and any willing adults too of course, the chance to have a hands on experience. Just £1 per person, children must be accompanied by a full paying adult. All proceeds allow us to continue to keep the exhibition open and free of charge.
