    The centre will assist members with genealogical research. A bookshop with a large range of books on local and family history is also on site

    The society has copies of ALL the OPRs for Scotland and all the census for Scotland from 1841-1901 and other genealogical microfiche, microfilm which allow researchers to find out about their ancestors. The volunteer shop staff will asssist members with their research. The society has a large genealogical library which members can use free of charge

    The society also has a bookshop fully stocked with Genealogical Research guides, maps and local history material for sale MIs, Poll Tax etc etc.

    Getting there by railway:- From Aberdeen railway station, proceed to Union Street, the main shopping area. Turn right (Eastwards) to the Castlegate. King Street leads left (Northwards) and the centre is on the right about 200yards after the traffic light at East North Street, 10 minutes walk from the station.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Aberdeen Dyce airport, proceed to city centre (Union Street), turn left (Eastwards) to the Castlegate. King Street leads left (Northwards) and the centre is on the right about 200 yards after the traffic lights at the East North Street.
