    Colomell is a small conservation village in south Ayrshire.

    It lies in the Stinchar Valley approximately 10 miles away from the town of Girvan and its surrounding countryside is quite magnificent. Three ruined castles can be found in the vicinity including Craigneil Castle (13th century), Kirkhill Castle (16th century) and Knockdolian Castle (16th century).

    The village also provides primary school, fire station, pub and a church.
