Fraserburgh Waters of Philorth

    This sandy blue flag beach is found some distance from the town area of Fraserburgh itself, and adjacent to the waters of Philorth Local Nature Reserve (LNR).

    Philorth is a popular recreational, surfing and windsurfing area with car parking facilities. The LNR is home to a small area of salt marsh and a sand pit, and attracts a variety of wildlife including wildfowl and seabirds.

    Road Directions

    Philorth Beach is two miles south East of Fraserburgh on the B9033 - to St Colms. The beach can be reached on foot from the Esplanade which is close to the town centre.
