Queen Elizabeth Forest Park

Forests & Woodlands

Enjoy a great day out at the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and discover wildlife, breathtaking scenery and a wide range of activities.

This 50,000 acre forest park stretches from the east shore of Loch Lomond to the rugged terrain of Strathyre and encompasses mountain and moorland, forest and woodland, rivers and lochs. For many visitors the attraction of the park lies in the peace and quiet, the magnificent views and the wide range of activities and facilities.

The impressive visitor centre in the Dave Marshall Lodge allows you to get up close to a wide range of wildlife with live CCTV viewing. The star attraction is the osprey, but you can also see a wide range of animals including buzzards, peregrines, red squirrel, deer and badgers.

The park is also home to Britain’s off-road cycle network, ideal for families and mixed abilities. The park also offers pony treks along shady trails or gentle mountain ascents and there are many waymarked paths for you to explore the surrounding area.

You will also find a GO-APE high wire forest adventure located next the David Marshall Lodge.
