Aberdeen City and Shire has an incredibly rich golfing heritage and is home to over 50 courses, including a range of stunning links and lush parkland venues.

Hazlehead No. 1 is a terrific parkland course and widely regarded as one of the best courses in the north east of Scotland. Designed by Dr Alistair MacKenzie, this course provides a real test of your shot-making skills with gorse and woodland hazards for any wayward strokes. Royal Aberdeen is the sixth oldest golf club in the world and venue for The Scottish Open in 2014. The outward nine of Royal Aberdeen’s revered Balgownie Links is believed to be among the best stretches of links golf in the world.

Further up the coast lies Fraserburgh, the seventh oldest golf club in the world, which was founded back in 1777. Enjoy a true slice of golfing history by playing among the huge sand dunes which make for an epic experience. Braemar Golf Club is the highest 18-hole course in Britain, with fine greens and magnificent views at around 1,200 feet above sea level.

Stonehaven is a cliff-top course with some dramatic short holes played over deep gullies and beautiful greens. Enjoy astonishing views across the North Sea and also see Dunnottar Castle, an ancient fortress in the most dramatic of settings. The Trump International Golf Links on the stunning Aberdeenshire coast is said to be one of the most ambitious golf courses ever created.
