In May, the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival sees a number of activities happening in venues across the region - enjoy classical, jazz or folk music, dance, theatre and children’s events.

At the end of May, the Spring Fling allows you a deep insight into the life and work of the region’s artists. Around 80 arts and craft studios open their doors to the public and special events, workshops and tours take place from studio to studio. Speak to the artists themselves and find out what inspires them about Dumfries & Galloway.

For books and literature events, visit Dumfries & Galloway from September to October for the Wigtown Book Festival when hundreds of activities take place to celebrate the written word.
