The South Loch Ness Trail is a 28 mile way marked trail stretching from Loch Tarff, a few miles north of Fort Augustus, to Torbreck Woods on the outskirts of Inverness.

The trail goes through the villages of Whitebridge, Foyers, Inverfarigaig and Dores. Walkers, riders and cyclists can discover the delights of the less well-known south shore of the renowned Loch Ness on this spectacular trail. Attractions along the route include the Falls of Foyers, the finest surviving example of a single span General Wade Bridge dating from the 18th Century, and the remnants of an Iron Age fort. Take this trail and be rewarded with stunning views over lochs, mountains and spectacular highland scenery, including Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
