In the hills above Pitlochry lies Eradour, one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries, where whisky is still produced by hand using traditional methods. The region is also home to the oldest distillery in the country, Glenturret in Crieff. Take a tour to learn how the whisky matures for up to 30 years before sampling the distillery’s Famous Grouse.
At Dewar’s World of Whisky at Aberfeldy Distillery you can even try blending your own whisky, while at Bell’s Blair Athol Distillery in Pitlochry, don’t miss the popular 12-year-old single malt. You can also pick from a range of different tours at the independent distillery Tullibardine in the village of Blackford.
