Carrachan Cottage, Lochcarron, Strathcarron, Ross Shire, IV54 8YQ

Self catering holiday cottage offering stunning, uninterrupted views up the loch towards the village of Lochcarron and the mountains beyond. The cottage itself sits only 20 metres from the shore and provides excellent access to the beach.

The ground floor of the property begins with a bright and comfortable sunroom with fabulous views of the loch and surrounding hills to the front of the property.

The living area is found off of the sunroom and has a coal fire.  The open plan kitchen-dining area provide a functional living space and is fitted with a modern and well equipped kitchen, which includes an integrated dishwasher. There is access from the kitchen to the back garden.

The accommodation provides 3 bedrooms upstairs, which sleep up to 6 people. At the front of the property there are two bedrooms, a generous double and a twin room - both of which enjoy extensive views out over the loch.  To the rear of the property there is a further (smaller) twin room.

Also at ground floor level, there is a fully fitted downstairs bathroom with electric power shower as well as a separate WC with a toilet and wash hand basin.

Externally, to the front of the cottage, there is generous parking for 3-4 cars and a small enclosed garden. To the rear, there is a spacious, sunny back garden, which is mainly laid as grass, but also has a paved patio area with garden furniture.

The accommodation would suit up to 6 people in various combinations, particularly suited to two couples sharing or a family of up to 6.

The village of Lochcarron, 1 mile from the cottage, provides access to a range of local amenities including a well-stocked supermarket, several bars, a coffee shop and a number of restaurants/eateries. For those wanting to cater for themselves, there are plenty of options including a good butcher’s shop and a local fish van selling a wide range of fresh fish which visits the village each week.

Lochcarron lies in the heart of an area traditionally known as Wester Ross, one of the wildest and most beautiful regions of the British Isles, with an abundance of wildlife and scenery, with rugged hills sweeping down into a sea loch and the Isle of Skye's Cuillin Mountains in the distance.
