Cherrytrees

B&B

59-61 St John Street, Creetown, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, DG8 7JB

Four star bed and breakfast in quiet village location.

Providing excellent four star accomodation in Creetown, a small quiet coastal village lying between Gatehouse of Fleet and Newton Stewart, where we hope you will find a "home from home".

We have secure bike storage, cleaning and drying facilities.

Situated on Wigtown Bay/Cree Estuary, and close to the Galloway Forest Park, we are ideally situated as a base for walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing and golf. We are only five minutes from the Kirroughtree Outdoor Activity Centre that forms one of the 7 Stanes Mountain biking areas, and in 2009 Galloway was awarded and established as the first Dark Sky Park in the U.K. one of only five in the world.

Cherrytrees was built in 1746 of the local granite (with a large modern extension to the rear, added in 1830) and is a listed building that has been sympathetically updated, providing modern comfort whilst retaining its character and charm. The rooms are of a generous size as are the en-suite bathrooms.

The two bedrooms, sitting room and television lounge are all to be found on the first floor which is dedicated to the sole use of our guests. The house is fully centrally heated with double glazing to all rooms.

We have secure storage for your cycles etc. and off-street secure parking is available for your car or motor-bike. We also have a drying room and can provide washing and ironing facilities.

A short walk from us you will find the famous Gem Rock Museum, the Creetown Heritage Centre and a number of places providing evening meals.

If you are planning a visit to the Newton Stewart area in Dumfries and Galloway, South West of Scotland we invite you to stay with us, to discover that our standards are "more a small Country House Hotel than a B&B."
