Just overlooking the city is CULLODEN MOOR where the last land battle pitched on British soil took place. This ended the Jacobite Rising in 1746 where Prince Charles Edward Stuart was defeated.

You can stroll along a meandering riverside path , amble to a forest waterfall or stride out through the wilds of Glen Affric.
