Surrounded by a mixture of woodland and open hills, with a backdrop of the Applecross mountains, it is centrally situated for visiting the Isle of Skye, Glenelg, Applecross, Torridon, Kintail and Eilean Donan Castle on Loch Duich.
The wildlife includes deer, pine martins, eagles, buzzards. There is also an abundance of wild mushrooms in late summer and autumn. Local boat trips, walking or driving, there is much to enjoy in the history and stunning scenery of this beautiful area.
