Stac Fada

169 Stoer, Lochinver, Sutherland, IV27 4JE

A quiet and comfortable base by the sea and away from the road. Ideal for hillwalking, fishing, wildlife watching, or just getting away for that long weekend. You can even bring the dog! Beautiful sea views from both spacious guest rooms.

Stac Fada -  named after the sea stack in Stoer Bay - sits on the hill above the bay. Both our spacious guest rooms enjoy panoramic views across the Minch to the Western Isles and south over the split rock of Clachtoll to the Torridon Mountains.

We invite you to enjoy a leisurely breakfast of the best of local produce as you take in the view to Lewis and Harris whilst planning your day.

A short stroll takes you down to the beach and on to the remains of the ancient broch. In the bay, a passing seal or otter will often surface to watch you.  A wander through our gate leads you into the wilderness, home to fragrant wild orchids, red deer, buzzards, red-throated divers and golden eagles. If you are feeling energetic, Quinag, Suilven and Stac Pollaidh are all within easy reach.

Once you have worked up an appetite, snacks, lunches or evening  meals can be enjoyed in the pubs and restaurants of Lochinver.

If you are bringing your rod and flies, there are numerous hill lochs within walking range, the nearest just five minutes away. Howard will be delighted to direct you.

The summer days are blissfully long in the north, come and make the most of them!
