Experience Scotland's Oldest Working Distillery
The Glenturret Distillery is a hidden gem, set on the banks of the river Turret in the beautiful town of Crieff and only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Novices and whisky enthusiasts alike will enjoy the distillery tours, with a chance to see the Guinness World Record for the largest bottle of whisky!
During your visit you will discover how the Glenturret Highland single malt is produced still using the traditional methods and equipment. And as the spiritual home of The Famous Grouse, learn about the art of blending Scotland’s favourite whisky. You will also have the chance to nose and taste a selection of whiskies from the well stocked bar.
The Glenturret Café and Bar is one of the best places to eat in Crieff, serving a delicious range of hot and cold food, including the chef’s seasonal specials of the day. The menu changes regularly, depending on what’s in season, from homemade soups and sandwiches, to Strathearn Pie, a special dish created in honour of the recent Royal Visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. There is also a selection of home baking and cakes.
And be sure to visit the unique and welcoming shop. There is a full range of superb single malts and blended whiskies including distillery exclusives such as the Bottle Your Own Glenturret single malt which you can bottle straight from the cask.
