Revered by connoisseurs, flattered by imitators, The Glenlivet can only be made in one particular spot, in a single glen, in the heart of Scotland's malt whisky-making country. Explore the turbulent history of the whisky smugglers, delve into the intriguing mysteries of distilling and sample the golden magic that is The Glenlivet.

The following tours are available at this award-winning visitor centre:

    • The Glenlivet tour - FREE - departs every 20 minutes from 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Saturday and 12.00pm to 4.00pm on Sundays. This tour lasts approx. 45 minutes and includes a guided tour of the distillery, a visit to one of our bonded warehouses and a complimentary dram of The Glenlivet. Over 8s only. Pre-booking required for groups of ten or more.
    • Spirit of the Malt Tour - £30 per person. Follow in the footsteps of George Smith, founder of the distillery on a journey of discovery. We begin at the water source, Josie’s Well, near the distillery, overlooking the Livet valley. A detailed tour of the distillery is followed by a tutored nosing of 7 expressions of The Glenlivet and a visit to a traditional ‘dunnage’ warehouse where we offer a dram drawn straight from one of our aged casks. Over 18s only. Must be pre-booked and pre-paid.
    • Legacy Experience - £60 per person. Discover what makes The Glenlivet so special on this fascinating tour of the distillery that includes an in-depth tasting of some very old and rare whiskies from The Glenlivet – so rare, some have never been bottled. To complete the experience, enjoy a dram drawn from one of our aged casks in our traditional ‘dunnage’ warehouse and take away a special gift as a memento. Over 18s only. Must be pre-booked and pre-paid.

We also have an exhibition which gives you a fascinating insight into the history of The Glenlivet , a gift shop selling a wide range of whiskies and whisky-themed gifts, and a coffee shop which serves snacks and light refreshments including home-baking, homemade soup, filled rolls and baked potatoes. Also available is the opportunity to fill your own personalised bottle of The Glenlivet.

We hope to welcome you in the near future. Slainthe!
