    Imagine a cross between an outdoor centre, an inn, a ceilidh place and a family home. Enjoy activities or relax with good food and incredible sunsets at this converted crofthouse where Gaelic is spoken.

    Whitewave Activities is ideally situated for exploring some of Scotland's most spectacular landscapes, including the National Scenic Area (NSA) of the Trotternish Ridge. From fascinating rock formations and species, rich grassland and heather moors to sea cliffs, stacks and caves teeming with birdlife, there is a rich diversity of landscape, flora and fauna to be discovered. Whitewave offers a variety of activities to help you do just that. Kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, climbing, abseiling, archery and walks are available, with groups and individuals of all ages and abilities welcome. Relax and enjoy the view and amazing sunsets, and dine in the café which is open daily and serves delicious homemade soups and baking. Accommodation is also available.

    Road Directions

    From Tourist Information Centre:-

    From Portree take the main A850 Dunvegan and Uig road, after 3 miles continue on the right fork when the road becomes the A856. In Uig take the A855 marked Kilmuir and Staffin, this turn is in the village opposite the police station, stay on this road, around a sharp hairpin bend, ignore the right turn at the top of the hill, continue on the main road for 2.5 miles. Whitewave is on the right hand side, just after Kilmuir House of you pass the school and churches you are too far.

    Getting there by railway:- From Centre:-

    From Uig pier go along the shore turning left at the police station. Head up the hill, around the sharp hairpin bend, ignore right turn at the top of the hill, continue on the main road for 2.5 milesWhitewave is on the right, a large white building with a car park.
