Welcome to Blackhouse. Here at BlackHouse we offer you a warm Scottish welcome and a relaxed shopping experience.

BlackHouse is unique in that we design and handmake nearly all of our products in-house using the world renowned Harris Tweed. We are perhaps best known for our own label collection of waterproof Harris Tweed bags and luggage for both men and women. We also design and make a wonderful selection of Harris Tweed gifts and interiors in a stunning range of colours and patterns.

At BlackHouse you will also find a selection of Scotland’s best known handcrafted ceramics and the finest Scottish soaps and handcreams direct from the Highlands, which sit alongside our stylish collection of Ladies clothing available in a range of Harris and Borders Tweeds. We also have a wee range of Harris Tweed field caps, golf caps, ties, bow ties and belts for Gents.

At BlackHouse you can meet the owner who is more than happy to talk you through the process of how the “Clo Mor”, or Harris Tweed, is handwoven by the islanders in the Outer Hebrides, and hear how her relatives have been hand weaving on the Isle of Lewis for nearly 100 years.
