All Fluke Jewellery’s pieces are designed and crafted by Roger Philby.
Roger lives in the beautiful North West corner of mainland Orkney. From his workshop/gallery overlooking the spectacular Brough o’ Birsay & Birsay Bay, Roger designs his amazing range of marine jewellery inspired by the wonders of nature including dolphins, whales and other forms of wildlife. One of the things that sets Roger’s jewellery apart is that he makes Flukes specific to the species.
His jewellery also consists of seahorses, starfish, the enigmatic shape of the eagle ray to name but a few. More recently he has added the loveable puffin and the wildness of the hare.
Newly added in 2006 is the popular ‘cowrie shell’ collection or as Orcadians call it the groatie buckie. It is looked upon as a symbol of good fortune to the lucky shell seeker, as it is not easy to find!
Another exciting development are Roger’s hand made marine sculptures using copper, sterling silver, driftwood and rock from Orkney’s rugged coastline.
