The small village of Pinwherry is situated approximately 8 miles south of Girvan surrounded by farmland in a beautiful south west Ayrshire.
Based within the picturesque Stinchar Valley, a corner of Ayrshire renowned for its unspoilt scenery, the area is perfect for outdoor activities with many good walks nearby and fishing in the Stinchar, the Duisk and the Cree as well as on several trout lochs. The wildlife is abundant too including red squirrel, roe deer, red deer, otters and badgers, and great variety of birds too.
The neighboring towns of Girvan, Turnberry, Newton Stewart, Daily Stranraer and Portpatrick offer excellent golfing facilities while for those who enjoy sailing there is a harbor at Girvan.
Also, within the grounds of Pinwherry House stand the ruins of Pinwherry Castle dating back to around the end of 16th century.
