Mountain biking is now one of the most popular activities in Scotland and there are many miles of trails across the country so you can have the perfect mountain bike holiday.

Enjoy the exhilaration of a downhill trail or the thrill of a ride through a forest on your Scottish mountain bike holiday.

Scotland is home to a series of world-class mountain bike trails. The 7stanes - seven mountain biking centres across the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway - are legendary and cater for everyone from beginners to experienced mountain bikers.

The Nevis Range near Fort William is another renowned mountain biking centre. Then there are the Highland Wildcat Trails at Golspie, which feature the longest descent in the UK, and the Moray Monster Trails, also in the Highlands. There are lots of other quality trails too.

Relish the awe-inspiring scenery and the enthusiasm of Scotland’s mountain biking community. Why not hook up with an activity provider and go biking with like-minded people.

Or be a spectator at a world-class mountain biking event. The Mountain Bike World Cup comes to the Nevis Range every summer.

Wherever you are mountain biking, you will find some comfortable accommodation nearby so you can rest at the end of busy day on the trails.
