December is a time for celebration and where better to enjoy the world-class New Year festivities than in Scotland, the home of Hogmanay? Whether you are looking for traditional or contemporary celebrations come and experience Hogmanay yourself.

In Inverness, affectionately known as the capital of the Highlands, welcome in the New Year at The Red Hot Highland Fling. It is Scotland’s largest free Hogmanay party where you can join over 10,000 Highlanders and international visitors as they gather to welcome in 2015. Further south in Aberdeenshire, the streets of the coastal town of Stonehaven are spectacularly illuminated each Hogmanay for the annual Fireballs Festival. Participants swing fireballs around their heads to create extraordinary light displays.

Scotland’s largest Hogmanay celebration takes places in Edinburgh where the three-day festivities begin with a Torchlight Procession on 30 December. On Hogmanay itself, Princes Street transforms into the world’s biggest street party where thousands of revellers soak up the atmosphere.

The Concert in the Gardens is a hugely popular event with incredible live music and entertainment, giant screens, DJs and outdoor bars. The New Year is marked with a stunning firework display over Edinburgh Castle which can be seen for miles around.
