Luxury self catering cottage on the Applecross peninsula close to Lochcarron, Shieldaig and Torridon Rowan Cottage is a beautifully renovated Highland crofthouse in the township of Arrina situated on the Applecross peninsula on Scotland's stunning West Coast.

The cottage is located away from the other houses in the township in an elevated yet sheltered from the elements position with views inland. It sits within Common Grazing land and therefore we ask you not to bring pets. The garden is fenced and there is a terrace that wraps along the front of the house with a bench for admiring the view and a patio table and chairs ideal for watching the sunsets and BBQ-ing the days catch!

This is a truly special place - the perfect spot for the more energetic and adventurous of you to pursue the outdoor life - including walking, cycling, sea kayaking, climbing and fishing - both sea and loch. And for those of you who wish to enjoy a quieter pace of life to unwind by reading, painting or bird watching.

From Inverness - you would head out over the Kessock Bridge towards Garve and on to Achnasheen. You could head South West towards Lochcarron or West towards Torridon. Going via Glen Torridon you will see the most dramatic scenery.

From Lochcarron you have another two choices. You could take the spectacular Bealach na Bah (Pass of the Cattle) and drop down into Applecross, before heading north up the peninsula and on to Arrina. Or continue towards Shieldaig and take the Wester Ross Coastal Trail across the top of the peninsula and on to Arrina.

From Glasgow - you would go via Fort William, Shiel Bridge and onto Lochcarron. And then either over the Bealach na Bah or continue on towards Shieldaig and take the Wester Ross Coastal Trail across the top of the peninsula to Arrina.
